Dr. Chinenye Obicheta-Okeke is a board-certified internal medicine physician with nearly two decades of experience in hospital medicine and medical leadership. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University after completing her undergraduate studies in Biology at New York University. Dr. Obicheta-Okeke completed her residency in Internal Medicine through the Yale Primary Care Program at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Obicheta-Okeke serves as the Medical Director at Innovative Health and Wellness, where she leads our integrative approach to patient care and oversees medical protocols to ensure the highest standard of treatment and safety. Her leadership supports a wide range of services including weight loss, hormone optimization, regenerative therapies, and advanced wellness programs.
Throughout her career, she has held multiple leadership roles, including Department Chair of Medicine at Northeast Georgia Health System and Associate Medical Director of the Inpatient Medical Rehab Unit at NGPG. She has played a vital role in shaping clinical policies, mentoring physicians, improving inpatient care protocols, and participating in key hospital committees such as the Stroke and CIWA initiatives.
Currently, she also provides inpatient care across the Northside Hospital Health System as a hospitalist. Her clinical expertise, patient-centered approach, and leadership in both academic and community healthcare settings make her an invaluable asset to our team.
Dr. Obicheta-Okeke holds active medical licenses in Georgia and Connecticut and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
